Yes, I worked one day in Mediacorp.
But working in Mediacorp isnt as chio as you think it is!!
This is what happened.
Yesterday I shouted in class, asking who have job lobang to intro me.
Three of my classmates/friends came to me and telling me what lobang they have.
From Factory work to mp3 promoter. Until Hairul asked me:
"Do you want to work in Mediacorp?"
The moment I heard Mediacorp, I actually jumped at him, slammed hard on his back and say
"OF COURSE I WANT!! I WANT TO ACT!!!"
Then I asked more details about this job.
He told me the job is answer phone call, $12 per hour and there transport fare!!
Very good and unlikely hor? Especially the pay. But then I thought...
Mediacorp wah!! So the pay must be around that amount!!
So I told him I want to try out and he said that interview is today.
So at 2pm plus, I meet him at Yishun Station.
Took bus 851 there and walked a long distance before reaching Mediacorp.
The last time I was at Mediacorp was because of Sheng Siong show.
Then we waited for the person-in-charge.
While waiting, I played with my phone camera.

The person-in-charge, Vanessa appeared.
*I find that she look like Rui En, but the rest dont agree and Hairul dont even know who the hell Rui En is...
Anyway, she brought us inside Mediacorp and to a small room, gave us our application form.
While we writing our particulars, she told us the details about this job.
Basically, our job is to call people and ask them to do surveyor aka Telly Surveyer.
Pay is counted by one completed survey piece not hours.
At that point, I was like soo DISSAPOINTED!!!!
The details that she told us is sooo far-fetched from what I heard in class lor!!
But still, Hairul and me told her that we can try and work today.
Then she showed us our office.
On the way to there, she told us:
"Working in Mediacorp isnt as chio as you think..."
Then we arrived at our office. She teaches us how to use the phone
and gave us the questionaire.
I was soo hungry so I asked if we can go canteen?
She showed us the way to canteen.
But added on that the canteen food sucks.
Then she realised that she need to help us get a pass
*Because Mediacorp canteen is under security protection and you need a mediacorp pass
After she got me the pass, she left to do her work.
I went around to look at the foodstalls.
and yes, its true that all the food look sucks!!
The most decent looking food is the Char Siew Stall.

But later on, I realised its a Visitor Pass. How come ar?
After the meal, we went back to our office
I got to say that Mediacorp is like a maze!!!
Do you know you have to walk a long distance to get to canteen?
Then we realised that we are at the Mediacorp Radio Side.
Then we start our work!
We were give a list of phone number to call.
But I didnt manage to get a completed survey lor!!
Either they hung my call or they just gave me some lame excuses!!!

Classic hor? Their excuses!! I think next time if I ever get any survey call.
I shall use one of the excuses above!!
There this auntie in our office whom I find damn funny and open minded!!
We had laughters and we kept joking around!!
She told me her name is Ba eeeee!!!
They told us that this timeslot (6pm plus), its hard to get people to answer your questions since most are busy and cooking dinner.
So I suggested to Hairul, why not we go explore mediacorp? He agreed.
But I asked Ba eeee, if we are allowed to do that anot.
She told us No very seriously!!
Doing so will result you lifetime ban from going to Mediacorp.
*heng arz!! Lucky I asked first before doing!! If not kena ban from mediacorp forever sia!!
Then we continued to make phonecall but still no success.
Ba eeee is like so good at it lor!!!
I think we are not the type for this job.
So we talked to Vanessa and told her what we think.
But I felt that we gave up too easily!!
Vanessa asked us whether we want to continue anot?
I told her I dont feel like giving up but then...
She replied: "Dont go around one direction and gave me bullshit..:
*She was very straightforward and really reminds me of Rui En.
(Rui En also very straight forward one right?)
But then, I am speaking the truth leh!!!
Maybe I might sounds fake or what la!!
