Christmas Spoils

Like so many, in my family the most thoughtful christmas gift anyone gives is a voucher (I consider this a good thing, by the way.) On my way back from seeing Bolt (it was actually pretty good) I stopped by at Borders and JB Hi Fi to enjoy the fruits of the festive season. Got the Slumdog Millionaire Soundtrack (and ended up recomending the movie to the entire Borders staff), and 30 Rock season 2 on DVD, both of which will, I'm sure, kick preposterous amounts of ass.

I also tried to buy American Psycho, the novel by Bret Ellis, after rewatching the movie on New Years day (you know, because it's such an upbeat, celebratory picture.) I hadn't seen the movie since I was 9 years old (I had a strange childhood) and enjoyed the film a hell of a lot more the second time around. I had heard that the novel was one of the only books that can make you vomit by reading it, so of course I had to check it out. Unfortunately, the book is rated R18+, and they wouldn't sell it to me (which only made me want to have it more.) Eight more months...
