The LAMBcast's are flying thick and fast these days, and shouldn't be stopping any time soon; with any luck we'll soon be moving from a fortnightly to a weekly timetable, which means twice as many episodes for your listening pleasure. That's right: double the awkward pauses, double the Ninja references and double the jokes about how I call fries "chips", elevators "lifts" and how a dingo has managed to make off with my baby.In all seriousness, this latest episode would have to be one of my favourites. Featuring the same lineup as last week (Dylan Fields of Blog Cabins, Nick Jobe of R2D2, Travis McCollum of The Movie Encyclopedia and myself, and once again hosted by Mike Mendez of Big Mike's Movie Blog) this episode has no Trailer Talk or Last Man Standing; instead it's entirely dedicated to our personal lists of the top 10 films of 2009, which we discuss in round robin format.
There's plenty of double up, but between the five of us we discussed a wide variety of films both big and small, some that you could pretty much guess right now and some that you will never see coming. The films cover pretty much any genre you care to name and best of all, each one of has a different number one pick, demonstrating just how diverse a year for movies 2009 really was.The LAMBcast is the official podcast of the Large Association of Movie Blogs. You can listen to this and previous editions of the LAMBcast via the widget in the sidebar, or you can subscribe to us in iTunes; just search for "lambcast". And while you're there, why not leave a review saying how awesome we are?
Oh, and be sure to listen all the way to the end, as there's a little something extra after the lead-out music. Enjoy!
