On the most recent edition of the Matineecast (one of my favourite LAMB podcasts) Mad Hatter and guest host Kai talked about their all time favourite movie trilogies, which naturally got me thinking about my own. They talked about the obvious ones: Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future and so on, but there was one trilogy that I thought was glaringly missing. So todays scene comes from my favourite film in one of the all time great movie trilogies: Evil Dead.
The scene itself actually comes from the second film in the series; Evil Dead II - the other two of course being Evil Dead and Army of Darkness. If you haven't seen any of the movies, this should pretty much sum up what they're about, from the camp to the blood to the unequalled glory that is Bruce Campbells chin.
On a side not, this is the second week in a row where A.S.S has featured a major body part being severed. If that doesn't summarize my taste in films, I don't know what will.
