For this weeks scene, I was originally planning on posting a clip from Spike Lee's Do The Right Thing. Not because I thought the clip was particualarly insightful, but just because I watched the movie recently and thought it was really good. However, as I searched through YouTube to find the clip I was looking for, another one caught my eye.
The scene I ultimately decided on is from one of my favourite comedies, and a far cruder film that Do The Right Thing. Despite this, I honestly think it has more to say about race and racism than Lee's entire film (no discredit to Lee, but he can be a little on the nose at times).
Before you watch the scene be sure to turn your volume down, as the language is extremely colourful (although it's not nearly as offensive as some of the other stuff in this movie).
