Athens, Greece - Businessman becomes bank robber

9 December2010 - A 44 year old ex-owner of a marble-cutting business drowning in debt, found a way out through armed robbery of banks in Athens and the periphery.
Over the last 20 months with the aid of an air gun he carried out on his own 32 bank robberies (27 in Attica, 4 in Loutraki and 1 in Sparta).
The 44 year old was arrested in Salamina shortly after a bank robbery he had carried out there.
On investigation it was revealed that he was a former owner of a marble-cutting business that went bust, leaving him in serious debt.
