I think ..
The edge-to-edge concept is what we likely will get BUT its not the SCREEN that getting LARGER ... its the PHONE that getting SMALLER ...
the iPhone 5 will likely keep the same screen size but the acual phone and the beziel will get smaller ... there are more non-geeks out there who think that iPhone is to LARGE and incressing its size is not the way to go ...
to sum it up (Expected Roadmap)
iPhone 4S - Release 2011
- Dual Core processor (with 9x GPU (same as iPad 2))
- 32 GB, 64 GB Model
- Full 1080p Camera (8MP) (Backside Camera)
- TV Mirroring (same as iPad 2)
- IOS 4.x
- FaceTime over 3G
- if the iphone 4S (2011) is getting 4G / LTE the name will defently be .... iPhone 4GS . because its both a 4G phone and a Speed bump ..

If true...sounds like iPhone 3GS and iPad 1 owners are going to be shown the door.
Based on history the 3GS will still be in for updates along with the iPad. Performance on the other hand...

The old Macfanclub hating the gamer , we have heard it before. There isnt any reason Macs cant game. You buy a thousand or two thousand machine it should be able to game. Mini cant.............Powermac is pure Overkill workstation. A gigantic hole for sure. Here's to the Mac gamers ! How many did iOS have FOR the iPad when it was announced? FIVE, and they were the five that APPLE created, but hey, live in your world.

Just don't make it obsolete by removing any features. SP version could easily be smaller but the DP version is already small compared to others.
The current case size is perfect imo. I know Apple likes their products to be as small and quiet as possible but you have to wonder if heat will be an issue with two six core processors in such a small case.

No thanks. The dual core is sweet, but have to wonder how the battery life will go down. I am not to excited about the next gen the more I read about how little battery life 4G phones and Dual Core phones are doing. :eek:

Ok guys. I just got the word from a neighbor who is a contractor for one of the upper brass Apple engineers. There is going to be a whole new revolution this Tuesday!
The new MMP will no longer use conventional batteries. Instead, they will be run off of propane. Apple is now trying to get the BTUs up to 15000, and be energy star certified for a multi room space heater.
There will be a small propane fireplace, with a small childproof screen, in bottom center of the screen.
There is a little portable propane bottle that is the exact size of the battery compartment.

Great...until you need to do a reinstall. While you could go 10.6 >10.7, going straight to 10.7 is so much better.
Except when your HD becomes toast...
Currently I can create a DVD from the developer preview of Lion. The installation program is provided as a DMG file, so it is relatively easy to create the DVD. Of course an average user wouldn't find the whole thing that easy, so I suppose Apple will provide some other solution. The option to buy the DVD will of course be available.

Reliable or not, I guess this is a good news for many of us waiting for the C2D MBP. If it proved reliable, I think MacRumors should pay more attention to check their updates in the future. ;)
I was about to think of that as "another crappy site?" but then I thought, hey, everyone have their own sources that you could never imagine, like one of the posts right before Sept 12th event claiming to know the entire agenda, and he's pretty accurate, no?
