Why do I have some weird feeling that they will update the entire product line at WWDC?Why not? Conroe will have availability by WWDC, IIRC, and Merom won't be far behind- they could announce a MBP with Merom, shipping in two weeks after WWDC.
MBP with Merom, iMac with Conroe, Mac Pro's with either Conroe and a Woodcrest quad or all Woodcrest, MacBook's with Merom or Yonah w/price drop, and Mac Mini price drop back to $499.This is the scenario I would love to see unfold including slowest 1.66 GHz Core 2 Duo in the $499 mini Combo. I think following this path would be the best way for Apple to gain significant market share this Fall. Be boldly state-of-the-art 64 bit all the way right away. :) :D  ;)

Samsung will come up with actual numbers sold, not shipped, finally. Apple will see how few it is and drop the suit.

Well looks Like it didn't come again :(
Just confirmed it with BLT, there hasn't been a shipment come in.

Now, it will probably be around the 25th before I get, and I won't open it, but considering I have upgrades (so customization = no return) how hard do you guys think it would be for me to exchange it for an updated one?
It is always bad practice to CTO a machine, as it is if there are no faults with it you are not entitled to send it back...

So uh what exactly would Toyota lose if they tell Apple to stick it? At best all I can guess are licenses to use use an iPod trademark or something similar to integrate into the car stereo, if they even have that option. I can't think of anything else.
Hundreds of millions of iPods have been sold, and people want to be able to control them through their cars' audio systems. Toyota knows the importance of this by the number of people who go into their showrooms and ask if their cars have this feature. I think it is really quite important and may be a deciding feature for people who are comparing cars of different brands, which are otherwise quite similar. Toyota is making a good business decision.

American Technology Reseach analysts (http://www.appleinsider.com/article.php?id=1925) provide commentary and predictions on what may come from Apple at WWDC next week.
According to the Shaw Wu, they anticipate that Apple's pro desktop will make the move to Intel, with a 70% chance that at least one of the other Mac models could see a speed bump with use of the recently released Core 2 Duo processor.
Meanwhile, new iPods are not expected due at WWDC - but instead are felt to be released in late September-October.
Apple will, of course, be featuring Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5) at WWDC this year as previously reported. There has been little leaked information about the upcoming version of Mac OS X.
As always, MacRumors will provide live coverage of the WWDC Keynote which will take place Monday August 7th (http://developer.apple.com/wwdc/schedules/monday_am.html).

I thought Android was a terrible OS, but I am still extremely impressed that iOS is where it is. Considering a lot of manufactures are using Android now, this is still pretty impressive iOS is able to be the second from the top on three devices iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, although the report does state mobile phone usage so it might just include the iPhone and not the other two i mentioned

I also thought it was Macrumors and not iPhonerumors :)
Macrumors is just the name of the site, whatever "rumors" get posted just have to somehow relate to Apple I guess.

That's NOT the context here.
I'm the one that raised the point in the first place! I think I set the context!
And don't tell me you take the EULA seriously.
I do. I don't have any need to violate it. I only have one Mac.
All of my computers have a fully licenced copy of Windows XP or 7 on them.

Have you looked at the TouchWiz UI? It's almost identical to iOS - dock at the bottom, pages of icons in a grid and you even remove applications in the same way as you do on the iPhone. I've nothing at all against competition for iOS, but they shouldn't just rip the design off

Thanks! I was gonna post that myself but you already did it for me :)
I'm not for this, but samsung really should go out on a limb and develop their own "style" of os for their little phones, or just use android default or wp7. I remember using a galaxy and thinking, "wtf mate?".

I don't get the big deal about it. If you want to be anonymous, get off fb, twitter, macrumors, etc. Then cancel all Internet plans you have and your cellular plan. Then no one will ever know where you are unless you tell them.
Absolutely 100% in agreement.

how about frontrow and Apple remote?
i know this is a pro machine...
but having these built-in would be great
besides... SJ mentioned that frontrow would be enhanced in Leopard
does this mean that the new Mac Pro would have frontrow as well?

what are the odds that apple, in order to reinvent the mobile experience, has teamed with a voip chip maker etc. to provide mobile voice and video (ichat mobile) over IP?
this somehow makes more sense than co-branding a unit or "piggy backing" onto current carriers... then again, failure on this scale would be the biggest "jump the shark" moment in their history.
You'd have to have an open WiFi network anywhere you wanted to make a phone call. WiFi is not NEAR the coverage level of cell service. In my opinion, VOIP cell phones are way overhyped. When WiBro is widespred and ubiquitous, then maybe.

The MBP will be done on a random day. Its a 'Pro' model andParis is more for the consumer goods like iMacs and iPods etc
iPod announcements are out for Paris. There is no way Apple is going to announce anything related to itunes, ipods, or Apple Music Store in Paris, given all the law suits and Frances' stand on Apple's DRM.
PB have been updated at Paris Expo in the past.
Therefore I see MacPro, MacMini, and iMac announcements at Paris.
iPod, iTunes, iphone announcements at a special event in October.
MacBook, MacPro, Leopard preview and date, etc. at MW 2007.

I'd say go ahead, but I'm somewhat confused in what the villain can do. He gets to see our moves, so he can just put a trap anywhere?
I'm against splitting until we level up.

WOW!
This would be AWESOME!
I can't imagine my 27" iMac with the same resolution as an iPhone 4!
This said, it could potentially make macs more expensive in the future.....:(
Well Done Apple! You've done it again!

The web player cannot be played on iOS devices? Really? Is it Flash-based?
Geez, this seems like the Mac vs PC wars all over again. But, I can't blame Amazon for not making a native iOS app. I wouldn't want to blindly give Apple 30% of my profits either.
Apple would block it because it gives preference to Amazon's MP3 store over iTunes. No point in even trying. Just wait, MobileMe revamp will make all of us happy.

Storing some music locally on my phone and having a 20gb cloud of music and having it all accessable via a single app is brilliant.
A good move and potentially good product from Amazon. Looking forward to a UK release!

I was at a local apple store and they are selling the tom tom car kit already. What a rip off, because you have to pay for the app seperate. I got the griffin car mount for $20 at frys and the navigon app, works great.
If you have to pay the suggested retail price then I do admit its a rip off. However, you can get easily 20% off if you just shop around a little bit. Regarding the TomTom app I fully agree. I actually think its way bigger rip off then the dock.

Except that neither cares about watching YOU.
You don't believe a company whose sole source of revenue is providing advertising and data search services cares about keeping an eye on you???
Ignorance truly is bliss.
