Correct me if I'm wrong, but these are kids movies right? This trailer is so bleak and creepy! I'm a moderate fan of the books; I've read all of them, but I don't really have much memory of Half-Blood Prince...isn't this the one where Dumbledore dies?
The first couple of HP movies really sucked, but as the kids got older, their acting talents improved and so did the films. I actually really enjoyed Order of the Pheonix, but remember thinking that it wasn't at all suitable for children. Book number seven has a body count like a Quentin Tarantino pic, so I don't know how the hell they're going to handle that one. In fact, maybe he should direct it!
If anything, this looks like a horror flick: fire, skeletons and...wait, is that the monster from Lost? And I don't think the sun is shining in a single frame of this trailer (then again, it is set in England...zing!) Anyway, I will almost certainly see this when it comes out, although the release date has been knocked back about ten times already, so I could be waiting awhile.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be traumatising small children in Australia from July 16th (although that date will probably change)
