3 years ago, I bought an egg boiler for microwave at the nearby supermarket for my convenient sake. One morning when I was not working, trying to have a healthy breakfast with doses of protein before heading to the gym. I followed the instruction closely, poured 1 glass of water in the egg boiler container with 3 eggs on top of it, put in the microwave and preset the time to 3 minutes. While waiting, I quickly brushed my teeth and washed my face.
The microwave alerted me that the half-boiled eggs were ready. So I opened up the egg boiler cover and shake the eggs with my fingers, it sounded so watery as if it’s not cooked. Without any hesitation, I put the egg-boiler into the microwave for another 30 seconds. While walking away, merely 15 seconds, I heard a loud explosion and got a shock of my life. I looked toward the microwave and this is what happened.
The impact was so great, the microwave door opened with my egg-boiler cover on the floor, hitting my aromatherapy stand and top. I grabbed my proudly 1.2 megapixels camera phone to snap.
When I looked inside the microwave, the eggs shattered like glasses with the shells scattered around.
The rotten stench was so strong as if you are living on the sewage pond. I quickly opened up all my apartment windows, turned on my stand fan to speed 3, sprayed my favourite Polo Blue perfume to neutralize the smell and it took me more than an hour to clean up the whole mess. Since then, this ‘home-made terrorist gas bomb’ sitting under my kitchen cabinet untouched.
It may be not be a good illustration, but this is what inspired me to name my blog Andy Rotten Idea! Don’t ever try to outsmart the instructions given.
Welcome to my blog and hope you enjoy reading it. There’s more to come…stayed tune.
