When the world is threatened by a maniacal villain, an elite unit of soldiers are called into action. These men and women operate outside the law, and from their top secret base they utilize advanced technology, strategic military training and awesome kung-fu skills to fight evil and save the day. I speak of course, of Team America.
I can't imagine I'm the only one who's noticed the similarities between this movie and Trey Parker and Matt Stone's marionette extravaganza. This is afterall exactly the kind of film Team America: World Police was spoofing. And that eiffel tower scene? Blatant copy!That being said, this movie does look as though it has some cool action, and a few weeks ago I might have been pretty excited. But Dragonball Evolution taught me a thing or two about expectations, so for now G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra remains well and truly on the maybe pile.
And btw, Christopher Eccleson looks terrible.
