Arnold in Terminator Salvation TV Spot!!!

Terminator Salvation opened in the US last week to enormous commercial success (although it did get beaten by Night of the Museum 2 at the box office). The movie premiered here in Australia only yesterday; I should get around to seeing it some time next week. Unfortunately, it's reception has been pretty poor. I haven't read any reviews because I like to go in fresh, but knowing it only has a 34% on Rotten Tomatoes is very disappointing.

The following TV spot makes it very clear that the studio has changed it's marketing campaign based on the poor reviews. Whilst previous trailers and TV spots focused on (at least partially) the fate vs. freewill, man vs. machine, what makes us human elements of the story, this TV spot simply advertises it as "the perfect summer film". Rather than combat the negative critical buzz, they've gone after the public with the 'splosions. Hooray for the lowest common denominator!

But I don't really care about any of that. All I care about is finally getting a look at the Governator's digitally inserted cameo. I assume they weren't allowed to use his face in advertising before the movie came out, because we've had no glimpse of him up until now. Take a look at a "young" Arnold Schwarzenegger (circa 1984) in Terminator Salvation, below.
