Today's scene might seem like a bit of a cop-out, as more than half of it is made up of the films opening credits. But this was intentional (it's certainly NOT because that's the only YouTube clip I could find). Although it's simply white text on a black background, Ridley Scott's Blade Runner has one of my favourite opening credit sequences of all time. This sci-fi masterpieces greatest strength is it's amazing sound design, and the score by Academy Award winning composer Vangelis is hauntingly beautiful. The use of synthesizers reflects the mournful future that Scott depicts in the latter half of this clip. Although more than 25 years old, I think that Blade Runner still presents one of the most spectacular and all encompassing visions of our future.
