Definitely one of my favourite films of 2010 thusfar, David Michod's Animal Kingdom is a rare thing: an Australian film NOT about Crocodile Dundee to recieve a significant US release. Therefore, I see it as something of a civic duty to convince as many of my international readers as possible to go and see it.
The movie is definitely one of the best crime films in recent years; I would honestly put in up there with The Departed and No Country for Old Men. It also features two of the best performances of the year from Jackie Weaver and Ben Mendelsohn. For my more in depth thoughts, check out my review from last month.
