Inspired by the first trailer for the American remake, this weeks scene comes from the 2008 Swedish vampire film Let The Right One In. A creepy, violent love story, the movie become a cult hit in the West, and all eyes now look to director Matt Reeves to see if he can replicate the tone and atmosphere of Tomas Alfredson's original.
The scene itself comes right at the end of the movie, so anyone who hasn't seen it should go no further (especially if you're planning on checking out the remake). Those who have seen the film will no doubt already know which scene I have selected. Strangely comic and somehow subdued and graphic at the same time, this scene is surely one of the best uses of framing in recent cinematic history, and it'll certainly be interesting to see whether the remake retains this ending.
Unfortunately, the scene cannot be embedded, so instead click on the image below to view it on YouTube. Once more, those who have not seen the film are cautioned not to watch. Instead, buy the damn DVD!
