Last night, at 2:00 am, a fire broke out of an apparently anarchist matrix at the entrance of the building that houses the Federal Criminal Court (TPF) in Bellinzona. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and there were no injuries.
Two women who worked on the third floor were able to leave the building unharmed, says a statement of the Ticino cantonal police.
The alleged perpetrators of the criminal act left written slogans of an anarchist character on the wall of the building. "Fire to the courts. Smash the state", according to a photograph published on the website of Swiss Radio (CSR).
The fire damaged the main entrance door and the surrounding area. The building also houses the Regional Directorate of Swisscom.
