Fun Spot U.S.A. Update - Preparation for New Coaster

Welcome to a new Fun Spot U.S.A. update! Today, we'll see how the work on the new coaster is progressing, and we'll also see if the new arcade is ready to be used! Let's see:

The new arcade is already open:

Since the old ticket booth has been demolished, the new ticket booth has been opened:

There are still no video-game machines, but they'll come very soon:

Outside, take a look at the future location of the Galaxy Spin coaster, which seems to have received a new name, "Power Trip Coaster":

Wacky Warehouse signs are all over the place:

The area in general, as usual very nice-looking:

And that is all, for this week! Check back next week, to see if they've gone vertical on the new "Power Trip Coaster"! Have a great day!

Fun Spot U.S.A.'s Former Ticket Booth Demolished

In preparation of the work for the new "Galaxy Spin" wild mouse coaster, Fun Spot U.S.A. had to demolish its old ticket booth. This is a very important event, as it means that the new coaster may be installed very soon! Here's what Fun Spot announced:

"Please excuse our mess as we make way for our new coaster. Demolition of the former North Ticket booth (Original SkyCoaster building) has begun. Once the building is demolished and the area is cleaned we can prep for the install of our new coaster!"

Take a look at some pictures, posted on Fun Spot's official Facebook page:

To see some pictures of the "Galaxy Spin" coaster track, please, go HERE. Fun Spot U.S.A. plans to open the new coaster by June 11, 2011. We'll see how it goes!

Fun Spot U.S.A. Update - Galaxy Spin Coaster & More

After our update on the nearby Old Town, it is time to see what has changed in the much nicer "Fun Spot U.S.A.", which is a very good competitor for Old Town, adding new rides and building new attractions every other month. In this update, we'll see how the work on the new arcade is progressing, if they've started to put together their new wild-mouse coaster (the "Galaxy Spin") and what other things have been recently added:

It looks like the brand-new arcade is almost done:

The only things missing are the entrance signs, speaking about the outside. Inside, they still have to install everything (games, reception area, ticket booth, etc...):

The building is very large, even though it's not as big as the one in "Fun Spot Action Park" in Orlando:

It looks like they need a lot of Air Conditioned in there!:

Only one thing concerned us: The sprinkler system needs to be adjusted, as a lot of water wets the road and the walkways, resulting in a pretty major waste of water, but we're absolutely sure it will be fixed right away:

As you can see, the water goes on the A/C units and on the windows, where is not needed:

Going around the building:

It looks great:

A Pepsi machine has showed up in the rear of the arcade:

OPENING SOON!:

The exterior stairs:

Fun Spot:

This old-looking building will leave very soon to make way for their new Galaxy Spin coaster!:

We are not sure when the work will start, but it hasn't officially started yet:

The Screaming Eagles:

I like how they personalized the ride, with the park's logo:

These are the only rides of the park that do not convince me a lot. Tilt-a-whirl looks a bit "aged":

And this coaster looks a bit "weak" (even though we're sure it's 100% safe to ride):

The kiddie area:

We've said this many times, but it's worth repeating: "Fun Spot succeeds also because they take great care of their parks. Look, not a piece of paper in the ground:

The rear of the park:

The HOT SEAT:

The storage area:

A new "Gold Mine" has been installed near the Go-Karts!:

You get to take home real gemstones!:

Our first Panoramic Picture of Fun Spot (Click on it to see it in a larger size):

The new SkyCoaster building is now open:

Inside, they sell only t-shirts for now (it's still a really new shop):

The Wacky Warehouse, just across the street from the park:

And now, an "exclusive" view of the Galaxy Spin coaster track!:

This view would make happy any coaster lover:

Still repainting some sections of the coaster:

Purple track:

That is all for today! We hope you enjoyed our Fun Spot U.S.A. update! Coming up in the next few days: Magic Kingdom update and much more! Stay tuned...
