This video was entirely produced by my friend Ed, who also designed the Plus Trailers banner (look up). I honestly don't know what's more impressive - the animation, or his Christian Bale impersonation.

Now before you get too excited - and I mean that in every sense of the word - the following trailer is completely G rated, which means no sex, no nudity and no inappropriate use of Batman's utility belt. But even if I have to trawl through every seedy adult site and smutty chatroom this side of 4chan, I will not rest until I find the full and uncut trailer.

Because at the end of the day, I'm the kind of blogger who's willing to go the extra mile for his readers. You're welcome.



The sadest thing about this film is that actress ("actress") Tori Black, a woman whose filmography contains over 500 titles including Cougar Cruisin', One Last Ride and Sexual Blacktivity (please tell me that's a parody of Paranormal Activity) will still probably do a better job playing Catwoman than Halle Berry did.

Epic 20 minute interview with Tommy Wiseau, mastermind of "The Room"

David Chen over at /Film recently had the chance to sit down with actor/producer/writer/director Tommy Wiseau, the man behind perhaps the greatest movie ever made: The Room.

For those of you are familiar with the movie, the manner in which Wiseau handles this interview shouldn't really surprise you. The way he dodges almost every question thrown his way is masterful...if this whole film-making thing doesn't work out for him, a very successful career in politics no doubt awaits.

If you're one of the unlucky few who still haven't experienced the pleasure of The Room, check out my recent account of attending a live screening of the film, in which I shouted myself hoarse, became temporarily deafened and was very nearly crushed under a gigantic pile of plastic spoons. And if that article alone isn't enough to convince you, please give Mr. Wiseau (below) the oportunity to convince you of the merits of his film.

Chen also got an interview with Greg Sestero, the actor who plays "Mark" in the film. This interview (while a lot more coherent) is probably only of interest to those who have seen the film, as it mainly focuses on trying to address some of the lose plot points that litter the movies' narrative.

That being said, I totally loved it. I mean, that bit with the monster? And then that stuff? And Desmond on the plane? Alternate realities?!

Trailer - The Sorcerer's Apprentice

All things considered, I gotta say that this trailer actually looks pretty good. There are some impressive visuals and action, and I'm quite a big fan of Jay Baruchel (Knocked Up, Tropic Thunder). There is however one problem...

Nicolas Cage. Now while I don't hate the man nearly as much as say, oh, I don't know, Fletch from Blog Cabins, I can't say that I'm a big fan . He does give us the occasional fantastic performance (Leaving Las Vegas, Adaptation) but he also churns out a lot of crap, especially under the Disney banner - director Jon Turteltaub was also responsible for the National Treasure films, the first of which I did admitedly enjoy, but still not a series known for it's acting, least of all from it's overpaid star.

Anyway, I'm still interested in checking out The Sorcerer's Apprentice come next year, as hopefully it'll be a pretty fun family adventure film. I'm certainly more interested in this than I am in uber-producer Jerry Bruckheimer's other big adventure movie set for 2010, the ridiculous looking Pirates of the Caribean clone Prince of Persia. And as long as his head isn't bursting into flames, I can probably stomach Nic Cage.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice will be in theatres from July 16th 2010

Dr. Horrible wins, hijacks the Emmys

I could normally care less about who won at the Emmys (although if I had to guess it would be some combination of Mad Men and Tina Fey), but one thing I did get excited about was Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog, which won for "Outstanding Special Class - Short-format Live-Action Entertainment Programs" (or as the director Joss Whedon puts it, "the award for most incomprehensible category"). Of course, The Doctor wasn't satisfied with just winning - he also had to take control of the entire ceremony (albeit briefly). Check out the hilarious results below, as well as Whedon's acceptance speech.





If you haven't seen Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog, check it out on iTunes. I ended up rewatching the entire thing after seeing this video, and it's still incredible. Great music, really funny, and also really touching. Whedon and co. hits another one out of the park!
