the positive hiatus—i guess?

in my roomin my room

so many things to learn, explore, cultivate, and put together. i am now enjoying my precious solitude, trying to arrange a decent book and short stories. i want to create a book that will leave people lingering for a long time even after they've finished it. like henry miller's tropics. at saturdays if mood strikes i attend jazz concerts, with friends—gathering inspirations. i have my journal with me all the time. right now i'm enjoying the pursuit of my passion in writing and illustration. i feel the enrichments from the other side of the lens, i can say.

i'll surely return to the blogosphere, of course, although not now, or immediately this month. i plan to change the name of the blog into stealing lights. or the one which incorporates two of my favorite words: fire and dreams—le feu des rêves. fire of dreams.

see you again soon !

one week break.

vinda sonatavinda sonata,ph: devina w

starting from today i'll be taking a one-week break. i need to reassess every thing, both in my life and about this blog . i need to finish several courses to be taken, too, and i want to be able to concentrate well.

i just want my reader friends to know that every single understanding means a lot to me.

à bientôt :)

i've been asked by so many people on how i am always able to combine composition and poetry, and my answer to it is that poetic expressions come to me when i can really translate the events in my own life into the music of words. they are something i can really touch and experience from a very close range. sometimes they get too real i can hardly call those words 'dreamy' anymore. i am constantly trying to blur the lines. — V.S.

stealing lights by vinda sonata

"Just like the thought that one late call to him would make him run away somewhere, or explode into dust, I always knew that the warm flicker I always had inside whenever I heard his voice would soon turn into dust, blown away by the night wind."

don't you know,

vinda sonata,ph by devina wijaya, murakami addictionvinda sonata,ph by devina wijaya

I always think we'll retain our souls here, in the stark-white room devoid of honesty and furnitures. some day later we'll be burned out to the very core of our souls. you always think that I've been writing poems all along, and that all I've written are all secret codes, with realities hidden beneath the surface. don't you know, the line between reality and the hyper-reality has been blurred for a long time now. as the morning light filters through the sheer curtain in the color of scotch, i can see that we are about to be back-washed by some kind of wave, a wave so immense that will transfer us through the walls of our dreams.

close your eyes long enough, and i will open the cover of the deep well to reveal to you the stars, and the half-moon attached to the distant barren sky.

with new year knocking on our doors, time has come to reassess things from back then and hopefully start anew. i'm aware that there's no more blank paper left for me to start over, but all of us got plenty of new papers, erasers, glitters, and colorful pens to rewrite and refine.

unlikely fates and crazy decisions, strong hands and nimble fingers; i will still retain them all for new year. my resolution is just one: to stay firm; firm is such a mighty word, and it goes well against several cynical paradoxes. firm; milestone of strength.

hard-work is the best thing a man can do to stay firm and challenge fate; it is arrogant but is forever weak-kneed to the key-holders of shimmering new days: hard-workers.

stay firm and believe in hard-work. we are born to be ourselves; to challenge manual labors and programmed routines. we deserve the fresh air and marvelous changes.

i breathed the longing of the stars and infused live into the various lights brimming the tones of vanity on the dance floor. you could predict the tail of the star from here.

you have the most marvelous youth,

lungs filled up with smoke and the melancholy smell of rain, we lined our fates with silver threads. dreams and visions are one, at least in our youthful hungers. they are merely cousins, brothers, one is inseparable from another. one is a fragment of other's core.

last friday with my model friend Gabriella raissa. she's such a sweetie. she baked both me and dev beautiful cupcakes which tasted really really delicious. i and dev took her pictures for her recent portfolio then spent time at our favorite resto/lounge talking about beautiful nonsenses and young love. we left fifteen minutes before seven to the other heaven. they know where the other heaven is. i do know where it is.

taking a break:)

sorry my lovelies, i'll be taking a break from the blogging world for a few more days, because i'm working on my final project for the advanced diploma in gaming & animation technology.

working with Blender is kind of confusing for me, although i have to admit that the software does have certain plus points that put other 3D softwares to shame (haha.)

vinda sonata,blender projectvinda sonata,blender project

anyway, i'm creating a dance game inspired by Konami's Dance Dance Revolution. the working process does exhaust not only me, but my dear computer so much too. to ease the aching back i've been listening to endless loops of Katy Perry's Teenage Dream. haha. i mean it: endless loops. even i am currently listening to it now. heehee.

vinda sonata, blender projectthat's erin wasson's pretty face i used as background. you're right my love!;)

i love you guys, and i promise i'll keep in touch! ♥
