My home business resolution for 2009

This is the first day of 2009. What should I do to make more money from my home business. Last year, I sell books from home. The selling could reach more than Rp. 275 million or around 27,500 US dollars. I also got some money from being a publisher of Google Adsense. I hope I can still earn more money or higher profit this year. The followings are my home business resolutions:

1. Maintain a positive cash flow. Every businessman knows how important cash is. I have to make sure that this year business is more positive. It means the margin between earnings and spendings have to be increased. If I review from my last year spendings, the biggest lies in internet bill. I can understand it because last year I did a lot of research of how to make money from home. I download books related to Google Adsense written by Joel Comm. I visited successful bloggers. And I watch many videos. I have to reduce my spending on this post.

2. I have to sell more books. Making money from book selling is my core business. It is done from home. In one month, I can sell up to 800 items. They range mostly from books, CDs and DVDs, cards and stickers. I have to add more books if I want to sell more books. It means I need more cash to do that. No, problem, I have secured another 50 million loan.

3. Increase earnings from online business. Besides selling books from home, I also sell them through the internet. Every week there are orders from every corner of this country. It is not my main target. i will give more time writing good posts in this blog, my home business blog and also improve my English learning website.

4. Paying back all the bank loan. Because I started this business from bank loan, I plan to finish it this year. It means the profit margin from my home business must be higher to enable me paying back all the debts in the bank.

5. Expand the business. Yeah, it is still the largest contributor for my income. I still need one more year to finish my obligation from the bank. This year too, I plan to expand it to a bigger one by opening a bookstore in a mall. It might cost me 1 billion rupiahs or around 100,000 US dollars. I don't know if I can make it this year or next year. I will try it. written by Charles Roring in Manokwari Indonesia
