Trailer - Angels and Demons
I was turned on to this trailer by a close friend of mine, who I know is a huge fan of the book series. It was on his behest that I read The Da Vinchi Code, which I thought was pretty good. I didn't really like the movie adaptation; it was like National Treasure only it took itself way too seriously. Angels and Demons (which is set before Da Vinci) is again directed by Ron Howard, and stars Tom Hanks and Ewan McGregor.
Sorry to say it Chris, but I really disliked this trailer. There appears to be a fair bit of action, but none of it looked that good, and there were some extremely dumb moments, such as when the priest leaps through the air at Tom Hanks. And speaking of Tom Hanks, his performance in this film looks to be average at best. However, my biggest problem with Angels and Demons is the premise. The idea that there is this massive conspiracy against the Vatican is just so absurd! IUp until this point, I had no interest in seeing this film, and the trailer does nothing to change my mind.
Angels and Demons opens in on May 14th
