Holy shit!
This movie looks amazing!!!
Before I go any further, I should say that I am a huge fan of 70's/80's slasher movies. Friday the 13th, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Child's Play; the stupider the better. Nothing is more fun than getting together with a group of like minded friends and laughing your ass off at a group of attractive young actors getting picked off one by one by a masked madman. The fake gore, the cheesy dialogue, the gratuitous nudity...awesome.
My Bloody Valentine looks like it has all the qualities I listed, plus one more: It's in frickin 3D!!! Can't you just imagine sitting in the audience with a large popcorn being showered in body parts? Lately, I have been despairing at the lack of good horror films. The Hostel and Saw franchises still have the violence, but there's no sense of fun. Hopefully, My Bloody Valentine will have just as many laughs as it does scares. Obviously, the plot is clichéd, the acting sub-par and the voice over groan inducing. All in all, this movie will probably be awful, but that's why it'll be so good.
My Blood Valentine 3D will be released in Australia on the 12th of February
