a fashionable truth ;)

end-of-term projects are always fun (eventhough tiring, yes.)

this end of term i was asked to create a full-scripted documentation on games architecture and design (like a full game script--imagine you're proposing your finely designed RPG to giants namco or squEnix), where you're asked to do all sort of write-ups on your designed game.

a proud RPG geek, i am. so i came up designing a Role-Playing Game (RPG) called tales of alberic (sort of a crossbreed between final fantasy ix and kingdom hearts), with some fashionable twists in the character design. (well..., duh, having wrongly chosen to major in gaming and animation technology instead of fashion design doesn't make things any easier.)

here are some of the character designs i've created for the game;

noah vineyard

main character, childish and overly bright, so clichéd but i like it ;) afterall, it's squEnix's favorite archetype for main characters.

wool vest, easy-breezy khaki, peasant top, and medieval era's farmers' shoes. easy staples for a village-boy type of character.

peter bain

one of chanel's SS2010 RTW collection that inspired me:

in conclusion, mr. bain is the man in the picture meets MJ's military chic (the military jacket is slung on his shoulders) meets joel osteen (not that i'm a fan. i just think he's sweet.)

alda loveless

all that inspires me:

cropped lace leggings

of course darling erin wasson is one of them:

frayed denim skirts always whisper me one thing: ssssssexy (especially if they're extremely deconstructed, with those inside pockets pulled out); plus, black laced bra visible under a white oversized top had never looked so chic before.

then here comes mr. antagonist:

nuff said. the rocker-meets-equestrian-chic looks are one of those things that won't stop lurking in my brain nowadays. guys clad in leather and chained boots are sssseeexay, the trench is, by the way, inspired by scott schuman's shots for burberry art of the trench

the boots, however, are aldo (if you check inside teen vogue's november 2009 issue, you'd find a story where the boots are. exactly alike with my illustration).

summed up:

my artworks are my diary. you're secretly seeing every details about me; not that strictly personal, though. perhaps you'd be able to see some reflections of the people i've always interested in, or the guy i am currently crushing on inside my artworks.

have a blessed day everyone. :)
