so, meet me. i'm vinda sonata, an art student.
firstly, let me introduce this blog. this blog has five main tags:
- my fashion diary, about what i wear that day, my fashion shots, and what inspires me.
- fashion icon, about people i admire. models, fashion bloggers, photographers, designers...
- from the runway, about the collections i admire.
- just for you, the collections of my "how-to" articles. (be them featured or done myself).
- vinda, my all-things personal.
what drives my interest in fashion is that it gives enough space for every people to express themselves. people are made unique.. and the way they dress (in my opinion) should resonance their inner self somehow. see? that's why great sites such as Scott Schuman's The Sartorialist and Garance Dore exist. (btw i've just known from this month's Nylon that they are a couple--how sweet is that!!) that's why amazing blogs such as Louise Ebel's Miss Pandora ,Alix's The Cherryblossom Girl, and famed Rumi's fashiontoast exist. they have their very own statements of style. that's why they are famous:because they are NOT busy looking around for "who to copy today" or "what 'It'-brand i should wear today'.
fashion is everywhere. some people may say "oh, i don't really care about fashion" or "well, i don't wear branded clothing and i DON'T even care a hell about them" or "i don't even know how to dress stylishly" but fashion is still.. everywhere, take note: even for those people whose statements i gave the samples above. fashion is an arrangement. it's not just about the way you dress. it's far broader than the brands. let the great Coco Chanel do the talk:
