Believe at SeaWorld - VIDEOS

"Believe" was a magnificent show. It was introduced a little more than five years ago (in 2005), and was considered an immediate success. It tells the story of a boy that feels the connection with the ocean. It was really good at first. The music was great, and the acts of the Orcas (killer Whales) with their trainers left many people breathless. One very sad day, though, everything changed. One of the trainers, Dawn Brancheau, died while training Tilikum, the male (and the biggest) Orca. It was a very unfortunate accident, that changed the show. Forever.

Indeed, since February 2010 (the month of the death of Dawn Brancheau), trainers were no longer allowed to perform in the water with the female killer whales, let alone Tilikum (which has not been performing since then). The result is a new version of "Believe" that is much colder, and very far from being as good as the former version of it. Here you are three videos to remember the show, that will be changed very soon:

PART 2 - "SOMETHING FAR GREATER"

As you may have noticed if you've experienced the original "Believe" show, there are many missing features, including the famous "SHAMU, SHAMU!" part, where everybody shouts-out-loud for Shamu to come and completely soak the first 15 rows!

The new show that will replace "Believe" will be called "One Ocean". Trainers will still not be allowed to perform in the water with them, but in the future, SeaWorld is thinking about making a comeback of this fantastic part of the show... that really made a difference.
