The fifth video in our series "Beneath the Surface" takes you to the creative world of set design for the "One Ocean" show. Designer Stan Meyer was both inspired and challenged by Shamu Stadium's three-story set. "Shamu Stadium is an amazing canvas," he explains. "We want every guest to the "One Ocean" show to be enveloped in the show experience with brilliantly colored lights and soaring fountains, so placement is very important. We are also challenged by the elements of salt water and sunlight."

The Stadium looks much brighter than when there was "Believe". In my opinion, it was a good change, as killer whales are generally very playful, therefore the colors and particulars added to the stadium perfectly reflects the behavior of killer whales.
